2. Do not share personal and financial information outside of our platform
Never share credit card numbers, security codes (CVV) or personal data outside the Živalnik.si environment. Fraudsters can use this information for unwanted transactions and identity theft. Trust only our platform for safe and secure transactions.

As an intermediary, we are not responsible for the content of advertisements, agreements or transactions that take place during the sale or purchase process on our marketplace. The advertising space on our platform is intended exclusively for users who independently publish and manage their ads.
a) Additional advertising (Živalnik Shop):
All payment transactions for the purchase of additional advertising products and exposure of small ads, carried out through Živalnik Shop, take place exclusively through the secure Stripe technology and directly through our platform. The Stripe payment system, with which we work in partnership, ensures the secure processing of all payments.
b) Legal entities (online shops):
Transactions for the purchase of products advertised on Živalnik.si Pets Marketplace by third-party online stores or suppliers, are carried out directly on their online platforms, where the user goes after clicking on the ad.

What is the order process?

If you want to order a product or service you are viewing from us on Živalnik.si Pets Marketplace, then click on the "Purchase from the provider" button next to the ad and you will be redirected directly to the provider's online shop.
Submit your order
On the provider's online shop, add the selected product or service to the basket and proceed to checkout. Follow the instructions to complete your order.
Purchase completed!
After completing the order, you will receive all the necessary information from the provider or confirmation E-mail of your order. Now just wait for the delivery of the product or the term of your service that you have chosen or agreed with the provider.
Tips for buyers
1. Meeting with the seller in a public place
When you decide to buy, we recommend that you make an appointment with the seller in a public place, such as a coffee shop, shopping center or market. Whenever possible, get a friend or professional to help you check the product.
2. Check the product thoroughly
Before making a final purchase decision, carefully inspect the product and make sure it matches the description in the ad. Ask the seller about the origin of the product, its condition and other important information. If the seller avoids answers or if the product does not meet the description, consider continuing with the purchase.
3. Don't pay in advance without a guarantee
We advise against paying in advance, unless you completely trust the seller. It is safest to make the payment when you pick up the product in person, when you are completely satisfied with it.

For purchases from legal entities, such as online shops, you will be redirected directly to their platforms to complete the transaction. In such cases, it is crucial that you check the security and potential risks of the supplier's platform yourself. As a platform, Živalnik.si does not assume responsibility for the content and transactions that take place on external platforms.
4. Additional safety recommendations for buyers
a) Request for additional information:
If the ad does not contain enough information, please contact the seller and ask for additional details, photos or videos of the product. Trusted sellers will be happy to share additional information.
b) Check seller ratings:
If the seller already has a history of doing business on the platform, check their ratings and feedback from other buyers. Positive reviews indicate the satisfaction of past customers and the reliability of the seller.
c) Checking compliance with legislation:
Check for legal compliance: Before purchasing any type of animal, equipment, food or service, especially for exotic animals or protected species, make sure that the transaction complies with legal requirements. Buying products or animals that do not comply with the law, can lead to serious legal consequences.

If you are interested in a pet, product or service offered by an individual seller or breeder, click on the "Send a message" button next to the ad and send an inquiry or use other contact options such as phone number or E-mail.
Agree on the details of the purchase
After the initial contact with the seller or breeder, agree on all the details - price, delivery, viewing, payment and any additional services. The seller or breeder will provide you with all the necessary information to agree on the best execution of the transaction.
Complete your purchase
After the agreement, together with the seller or the breeder, you will be aligned on how the collection or delivery of the animal, product or service will take place.
Tips for sellers
1. Ordinary natural persons
a) Trade locally
It is safest to market locally, where you can meet the customer live and exchange money and product directly. Sending products before receiving payment is not recommended.
b) Pay attention to the warning signs of a scam
Beware of unusual requests, such as requests for payment through third-party platforms or unusual promises. If you suspect something is wrong, please contact our customer support team immediately.
c) Meeting in a safe public place
When making an appointment with a buyer, arrange to meet in a safe public place such as coffee shops, shopping malls or markets where there are many people. If possible, take a friend or family member with you.
d) Verification of the buyer's identity
If possible, ask the buyer to provide you with basic contact information (name, surname, phone number) before the meeting. If the buyer avoids this, beware.

2. Report suspected fraud
If you suspect, that you have fallen victim to a scam, take immediate action. Write to us at info@zivalnik.si and we will advise you on how to proceed. We will treat the application with the utmost seriousness and ensure the protection of your rights in accordance with the law.
